IN THE AREA of preparations for digital broadcasting, Slovakia is among the leaders of "Region 1", which includes 122 states in Europe, Africa, and the Middle East.
Slovakia has already completed more than 90 percent of the required planning for digital broadcasting, putting the country among the top five in Region 1, according to the International Telecommunications Union.
The digital plan - frequencies for terrestrial digital TV and radio broadcasting - for individual Region 1 states will be approved in June in Geneva, the SME daily wrote.
