Merkel positive about Slovak reform

GERMAN Chancellor Angela Merkel, who visited Slovakia May 11, expressed her appreciation of the reforms carried out in Slovakia under the right-wing Mikuláš Dzurinda government.

Merkel thus became another in a row of international leaders, including British PM Tony Blair and European Commission head José Manuel Barroso, to praise the cabinet's reforms, the Pravda daily wrote. "The [Slovak] results show that this is the right way," Merkel said.
