Gaz de France interested in more SPP shares

THE FRENCH gas concern Gaz de France would be interested in acquiring more shares in the Slovak gas utility Slovenský plynárenský priemysel (SPP) should the country proceed with their privatisation.

"We would definitely be interested in increasing our stake in SPP, but I am not saying that we would be interested in the entire [remaining] 51-percent stake," Gaz de France's Francois Carriére said.

At the moment, Gaz de France owns a 49-percent stake in SPP together with the German company E.ON Ruhrgas, the SME daily wrote.
