Mečiar and Slota kiss and make up

HZDS party Chairman Vladimír Mečiar filed two lawsuits for slander against SNS Chairman Ján Slota at the end of last year, but maintains he does not mind cooperating in the new government with him.

"We are in a coalition and I don't care. In politics, we have to distinguish between state affairs and personal matters", he said.

Slota's aversion to Mečiar was also apparent prior to elections, as the SNS leader once said if Mečiar died, he would hold a mirror to his mouth to make sure he was not pretending.
