Canadian Alcan starts building plant in Levice

CANADIAN investor Alcan Extruded Products started building a new plant through its subsidiary Alcan Slovensko Extrusions July 31, SME wrote.

The firm plans to invest $35 million (Sk1 billion) on the new plant that will produce aluminum casts and employ 150 to 200 people in the operation.

The new plant should start production in the first half of 2007.
