Applications for structural funds amount to Sk198 billion

THE CONSTRUCTION and Regional Development Ministry has, as of August 9, registered 12,219 applications amounting to Sk198 billion for a non-returnable financial contribution from EU structural funds.

The ministry's spokesman Ján Pálffy stated that 4,699 projects totaling Sk80.8 billion had been approved, with the majority of the 1,641 applications exceeding Sk37.7 billion agreed upon under the Basic Infrastructure operational project.

The ministry registered 3,568 contracted projects amounting to nearly Sk56 billion, while 3,083 projects worth Sk48 billion were being implemented as of August 9, SITA wrote.
