I think most of you are missing the point. The flat tax system has allowed Slovakia to progress faster than most Eastern European countries.

I fully understand the need to protect the poor, but there must be finances in place to fund social reforms, etc. I only hope that Fico's government does not bankrupt the country.

One needs to create wealth to spend it. It sounds very simplictic, I know, but in normal households, this is the way finances are kept under control. The more you earn, the more you can spend.
