Kubiš assures Ukraine of support

DURING his two-day trip to Kiev, Slovak Foreign Minister Ján Kubiš assured his counterpart Borys Tarasjuk that Slovakia supports Ukraine's entry into the World Trade Organization (WTO), as well as its EU and NATO integration ambitions.

Kubiš also said Slovakia wants to gain the status of a NATO contact legation for its embassy to Kiev.

Kubiš was the first foreign minister to visit Kiev after the appointment of the new Ukraine government on August 4.
