Slovakia reports budget deficit of Sk5.7 billion at the end of August

SLOVAKIA's state budget finished the first eight months of this year with a deficit of Sk5.7 billion, according to Zuzana Bruteničová of the Finance Ministry.

State budget revenues amounted to Sk188.9 billion, which is 69.3 percent of the budgeted value for the whole year, the Hospodárske noviny wrote.

Total expenditures, budgeted for Sk330.2 in 2006, stood at Sk194.6 billion at the end of August, which is 58.9 percent of the annual plan.
