New tabloid daily launched

A NEW tabloid daily newspaper called Plus jeden deň (The Next Day) hit newsstands in Slovakia on September 4 as the child of the Plus 7 dní (The Next Week) tabloid weekly.

The daily is published by publisher 7 Plus, and has an initial print run of 180,000 copies. The company also publishes several other magazines in Slovakia.

Jozef Dukes, the director of 7 Plus, described the new media product as "a soft tabloid". Unlike most other tabloids, the newspaper is published in a broadsheet format.
