THE STATE-run Slovak television (STV) reported a midyear income of Sk1.3 billion, some Sk115 million ahead of expectations.
But with costs totaling Sk1.2 billion, 11.6 percent higher than planned, the station registered a midyear profit of Sk85.7 million, 5.5 percent below expectations.
STV said the added revenues were due to a higher income from viewer fees and advertising revenues.
