Antitrust office confirms Sk80 million fine for Slovak Telecom

THE SLOVAK Antitrust Bureau (PMÚ) has confirmed an Sk80 million fine for
Slovak Telecom (ST) which the bureau originally imposed in December last year.

ST was fined for misusing its dominant position on the telecom market.

According to the PMÚ, ST used an inappropriate pricing policy when it rented circuits to build virtual private data networks in last year's tender for an integrated communications platform for Ľudová Banka.

The authority started proceedings against ST based after mobile operator Orange Slovensko complained, the SITA news agency wrote.

The decision cannot be appealed.
