IT awards won by Eset, Softec

THE ASSOCIATION of Slovak Journalists and members of professional associations in October handed out the titles IT Personality, IT Firm, and IT Project of 2006. František Jakab was named the IT Personality of 2006. Jakab coordinates the network academy program NetAcad, and made a significant contribution to building and coordinating 52 network centres at Slovak universities and secondary schools. Eset was awarded the IT Firm of the Year title. Eset distributes NOD32 safety solutions to more than 100 countries. Softec, with its ISOP information system, won the title IT Project of 2006. ISOP is intended to replace technologically obsolete applications for the payment of benefits.
