Campaign launched to support winter tourism

THE SLOVAK Tourism Agency (SACR) launched a campaign called "Winter in Slovakia" aimed at attracting more foreign visitors to the country during the winter season. The campaign, launched at the end of 2006, includes a new web site, www.zimanaslovensku.sk.

SACR hopes the campaign will help create a positive attitude towards winter holidays in Slovakia.

SACR spokeswoman Soňa Junasová said that in the first 10 days of January, around 7,000 people had visited the new web site.

She said the site provides up-to-date information on products and services related to winter holidays in Slovakia.
