Government appoints new director of social insurance company

IVAN Bernátek, an advisor to Slovakia's Labour Minister Viera Tomanová (Smer), has been made the new head of the social insurance provider Sociálna Poisťovňa (SP) as of January 15.

Bernátek will replace the current five-member board of directors. His term in office will be six years.

The cabinet also approved the nominations of three state representatives to SP's supervisory board.
