TWO SLOVAK masters of the brush meet in the Danubiana Meuleensteen Art Museum located at the Čunovo water works in Bratislava. Štefan Polák's paintings set out on journeys into the world of dreams and phantasy and let people gaze inside. Polák is an artistic nomad, who draws inspiration from various corners of the world. Apart from paintings, his bronze sculptures are part of the Terra inCognita (Earth Unknown) exhibition.

Shrovetide Comes to an End - This 12th annual folklore festival offers a variety of performances by folk dance and music ensembles. DRAUGHT horses and their drivers will compete in various disciplines under the statue of Jánošík in Terchová on February 17. The competitions include speed and endurance, a slalom, and drawing a load, as well as others. Any driver in a folk costume gets a financial reward, and those who lose their hats during the individual races will be penalized.
