Excise taxes on motor fuels will not decrease

Finance Ministry spokesperson Miroslav Smal has announced that excise taxes on motor fuels will not be lowered, responding to Prime Minister Robert Fico’s statement on April 19 on lower natural gas prices for about 200,000 seniors.

"Changes in excise taxes are definitely not being considered," said Smal.

According to Smal, no one has yet contacted the ministry to discuss the relevant negotiations.
