Cabinet promises to support use of renewable energy

Economy Ministry Ľubomír Jahnátek will financially support the use of solar energy and biomass for power, giving Sk100 million annually to increase the production of energy from renewable sources. On April 25, the cabinet approved a strategy to increase the use of renewable energy sources in the Slovak Republic.

Jahnátek said that the support would be one of the ministry's budget priorities next year.
