Foreign Affairs Ministry calls for worldwide freedom of press

The Slovak Foreign Affairs Ministry called on all countries that violate the freedom of the press to take immediate and resolute measures to improve conditions for journalists, ministry spokesman Ján Škoda announced.

On May 3, World Press Freedom Day, the ministry expressed its solidarity with journalists around the world who, in spite of persecution, help promote a basic human right - that of free access to information.
