British and Slovak air forces hold joint exercise

British and Slovak air force pilots are holding a joint exercise at the Sliač Air Base in central Slovakia.

"Slovak and British air and ground teams will practice air combat using Hawk, MiG-29 and L-39 jet fighters," said Charge d'Affaires Tom Carter of the British Embassy in Slovakia.

Carter said that both countries enjoy a close bilateral cooperation due to their NATO membership. Five British Hawk jet fighters are taking part in the exercise.
