The Slovak crown on Wednesday moved within 33.11-24 SKK/EUR, firming by 7 hellers during the day, but not breaking the 33.1 SKK/EUR threshold.
Against the US dollar, the crown closed at 24.03/05 SKK/USD, and against its Czech counterpart at 1.173/174 SKK/CZK.
The 33.1 SKK/EUR threshold appears strong so far, according to Patrik Malec from UniCredit Bank. If it was broken, however, the crown might firm even under 33 SKK/EUR, at which point Malec said he sees the possibility of the Slovak central bank (NBS) intervening.
