Slovakia's industrial output up 12 percent

Slovakia's industrial output grew 12 percent year-on-year in June, which was the second highest growth rate in the EU.

In the 27-member European Union, industrial output increased 2.5 percent year-on-year in that period.

Eurostat, the EU Statistical Office, published the results on August 14. Twenty-one EU members presented their statistical data for June.

In a month-on-month comparison, industrial output in Slovakia fell 0.3 percent in June following its 2.1 percent growth in May. The industrial output of the EU did not change in June, while in May it posted a 0.7 percent increase.

In the 13-member Eurozone, industrial output decreased by 0.1 percent in June, while in the previous month it strengthened by one percent.
