The Slovak Environment Inspectorate (SIZP) found evidence of air pollution in almost a third of the 208 companies it has inspected this year.
In response, the SIZP imposed 47 fines exceeding Sk1.1 million and ordered forty corrective measures. The inspectors also checked the quality of motor fuels at gas stations by taking 93 petrol samples and 80 diesel samples at 81 gas stations. SITA
