THE INTERIOR and Defence Ministries have agreed to work together to fight terrorism and other threats to the country.
An inter-ministerial agreement was signed on August 13 by Interior Minister Robert Kaliňák and Defence Minister František Kasický. It focuses on the fight against terrorism, non-military threats such as fires, the integrated security system and civil security, TASR wrote.
According to Kaliňák, the agreement represents an official confirmation of the already-existing cooperation between the two ministries. The objective of the agreement is to adjust an old document - in place for more than a decade - to match a more modern context.
It stresses the effective use of all means available to the two ministries.
