The opposition SDKÚ party launched a petition against the government's
interference in the pension system in all of Slovakia’s regional towns on October 1.
SDKÚ vice-chair Iveta Radičová said citizens can sign the petition to express their opinions on the draft revision to the social insurance law. If at least 100,000 signatures are collected, parliament will have to deal with it.
The other opposition parties - the KDH and the SMK - also support the petition initiative.
