Crown briefly eases above Sk34.20/euro

Hectic trading on October 3 led the Slovak crown to within the 33.99-34.26 Sk/EUR range, UniCredit Bank dealer Michal Baránek said. The currency started out at 34.07/10 Sk/EUR and then weakened by 9 hellers.

At one point, profit-taking pushed the crown down to Sk34.26/EUR, but by the end of trading, the crown had strengthened again, and closed at 34.16/18 Sk/EUR. Against the US dollar, the Slovak currency moved at 24.12/13 Sk/USD before the end of trading, and against the Czech crown it was at 1.238/240 Sk/CZK. TASR
