SARIO and ITD agree on need for joint presentation strategy

The national investment agencies of Slovakia (SARIO) and Hungary (ITD) have agreed on the importance of forming a joint strategy for presenting investment opportunities in Central Europe with an emphasis on Asian investors, SARIO wrote on its web site on October 4. The respective heads of SARIO and ITD, Peter Hajas and Gyorgy Retfalvy, are reported saying that prospective Asian investors are more interested in Central Europe than Western Europe for logistics reasons.

A joint presentation would offer better access to available qualified labour and property on sale, and would widen the consumer market. Hajas and Retfalvy also agreed to prepare a Memorandum of Understanding relating to this area. - TASR
