Cabinet approves next year's draft state budget

At its special session on October 11, the cabinet approved the government’s draft budget for 2008-2010 and next year's state budget, which has a deficit projected at 2.3 percent of gross domestic product (GDP).

That means the state budget draft has overcome its last hurdle before its submission to parliament by the legal deadline of October 15.

The state budget draft that the Finance Ministry submitted to the cabinet session mentioned a deficit of Sk31.981 billion, which is Sk7.8 billion more than in the previous budget draft.
