Kubiš meets Spanish ambassador

SLOVAK Foreign Affairs Minister Ján Kubiš met Spanish Ambassador to Slovakia Miguel Aguirre de Carcer on October 16, the ministry's press department announced.

During the meeting, the two diplomats updated each other on preparations for the upcoming official visit of Slovak President Ivan Gašparovič to Spain, and discussed the current state of the countries' mutual relations and the prospects for developing them further, the TASR newswire reported.

They also discussed the candidacy of their countries for important posts in international organisations.
