NHL great Peter Bondra retires

Slovak hockey star Peter Bondra has announced his retirement from the National Hockey League.

Bondra will become general manager of the Slovak national hockey team, the Pravda daily reported in an interview with Bondra on October 30.

Bondra has scored more than 500 goals in his career with the NHL since the beginning of the 1990s, mostly for the Washington Capitals.
