On November 22, Prime Minister Robert Fico asked Agriculture Minister Miroslav Jureňa to accept responsibility for the land transfer scandal at the Slovak Land Fund (SPF) and resign.
If Jureňa does not resign within 24 hours, Fico will ask President Ivan Gašparovič to dismiss him, a press release states. Fico has decided to take such extraordinary measures because the coalition has so far been unable to resolve the issue, the statement concludes. SITA
