Festival of Swedish film
The Consulate General of Sweden in Bratislava presents Festival of Swedish Film as part of the film festival Febiofest Slovakia 2001. Eight films will be screened, including Lukas Moodysson's Together, Liv Ullmann's Faithless, which is based on a script by Ingmar Bergman and stars Lena Endre, and the comedies In Bed with Santa and Adult Behaviour. Latino-American Dance Party
Fiesta Latina with Miguel Mendez, a Latino dance party allowing the public to experience a slice of the vibrant Latino culture here in Bratislava, celebrates 'Carnival de Rio' with the Slovak dancing group Latino Flash. Austrian Embassy's Readings, Concert and Exhibitions
An author's reading by Sylvia Trendl from Krems, who will read from her anthologies Kratz und Kratzgeschichten and Mein Bier am Sonntag - eine alkoholische Bestandsaufnakme, and discuss the system of literature houses in Austria. The Austrian Culture Centre is holding the 'Thought Line' exhibition, featuring jewellery made by young Slovak and Austrian artists. Runs till the end of February at the Austrian Culture Centre on Zelená 7. Tel: 5443 2985.
A photo exhibition entitled Vergessener Völker Müdigkeiten (Tiredness of Forgotten Nations) features photographs of Jewish cemeteries taken by Austrian artists Christoph Lingg and Susanne Schaber. The Austrian Culture Centre in cooperation with Docomomo Slovakia (Documentation and Conservation of the Modern Movement) is holding an exhibition of the work of Christian Ludwig Attersee, one of the founders of the 'New Paintings' style in central Europe. French Institute concert and exhibitions
Chamber orchestra Mimeza will perform Scale, composed by the 18th century French composer Marin Maraisa. February 20 the French Institute Gallery on Sedlárska 7 at 18:00.

Goethe Institute Video Projection and Exhibitions
The Goethe Institute will present "Das Testament des Dr. Mabuse" (Testament of Doctor Mabuse), a film directed by Fritz Lang in 1932, in German. February 20 at the Goethe Institute on Panenská 33 at 17:00.
The German Culture Institute presents the works of German graphic artist Albrecht Dürer. The exhibition features Dürer's famous xylographs and copperplates as well as the works of his contemporaries. Runs till March 18 at Mirbach Palace on Františkánske námestie 11. Tel: 5443 1556.
