Poštová banka records 76 million crown Q3 profit

Poštová banka reported a Q3 gross profit of 76.6 million crowns. However, the bank registered a 151.5 million crown cumulative loss from the beginning of the year which can be largely attributed to losses from the sale of non-performing assets, the bank said.
The total assets of the bank grew almost 40% over Q3 2000, rising from 18.4 billion in late June to 25.6 billion in late September. Its primary sources increased as well, jumping 20.9% from the previous quarter to 16.3 billion crowns as of September 30.

Growth in industry producer prices slowest in 2000

Producer prices in industry in Slovakia increased 0.3% in September compared with August - the lowest monthly growth since the beginning of 2000, the Slovak Statistics Office said October 27.
