EXHIBITION: Pictures. Polish modern artist Henryk Czesnik exhibits paintings reflecting his personal moods at the Old Town underground gallery below Michalská brána (Michael's Gate).

FILM: The Cider House Rules. A drama based on John Irving's best-seller tells the story of Homer Wells, who grew up in an orphanage, then leaves to work in a Maine apple orchard where he confronts his childhood values and learns that every person must live by his own rules.
