Phone license price: 1 billion Sk

Deputy Prime Minister for Economy Ivan Miklos yesterday said the sale price of a joint operating license for GSM and UMTS mobile telephony had been set at a minimum of 1 billion crowns, reported the daily paper Hospodárské noviny. The licenses are scheduled to be auctioned off before the end of 2001, with both price and offer conditions being the main criteria deciding the winner.
