The Supreme Court has once again put off delivering a verdict in an appeals case regarding promissory notes signed on the account of the SPP gas utility by its former director, Ján Ducký. The court postponed the verdict after a lawyer for SPP appealed the presence of Justice Jozef Štefanko on the court tribunal which was to decide the case. Štefanko was appointed to his position under the pervious government of Vladimír Mečiar.
