New investor may be on line by October

Belgian investor Punch yesterday said the first stage of its 2.4 billion crowns audio-visual components factory in the south Slovak town of Namestovo could come on line as early as October, creating 500 jobs. The Punch investment, which is to supply the Phillips company, will eventually employ 2,500 people.
