US attack sends ripples across Slovakia

The Slovak crown fell 30 basis points against the dollar yesterday as foreign investors retreated to safe investment havens, while the ST fixed line telecoms monopoly announced free calls to the US from 14:00 Slovak time today through Sunday, and Slovak airlines announced tightened security. Acting Slovak Prime Minister Ivan Mikloš, following a special cabinet sitting yesterday, promised to open Slovak airspace to the Nato alliance in case of need.
