US attacks may affect coming privatisations

Finance Minister Brigita Schmögnerová said September 18 that Slovakia would have to watch carefully how investor mood in the wake of the September 11 attacks affected forthcoming privatisations, particularly that of insurer Slovenská poisťovňa (SP).

Some analysts have suggested that the sale of SP could become more complex following the terrorist attacks as insurance firms across the world reassess policies and strategies for insurance coverage.
