SPP profits up from 2000

The SPP state gas utility in the first half of this year recorded a before-tax profit of just over 7 billion crowns ($146 million), according to international accounting standards, compared to just under 4 billion in the same period last year. The reason for the rise was largely profit from SPP’s financial investments, such as the sale of its stake in mobile operator Globtel, said the firm.
