Slovaks passed fewer bribes last year - poll

A June poll by the Statistical Office showed that only 25.7% of the 1,240 respondents had offered bribes in the last year, compared to 27.5% in 2000 and 32% in 1997. The term 'bribe' included monetary gifts and presents in exchange for services received or expected.
