Questionaire

Dear readers,

I would like to invite you to fill out the following questionaire, the results from which will be collated by the Pricewaterhouse Coopers advisory firm in October.

We ran a similar survey on the TSS web page in August. Your answers helped us make integral changes to our internet version. Thank you for your help, and we hope you've enjoyed the improvements.

This study is aimed towards readers of the print version of The Slovak Spectator who find it more convenient to complete the readership survey and submit it electronically. This doesn't mean, of course, that people who don't buy the print version can't participate or be eligible for same prizes and giveaways on offer - rather that they should simply leave blank those questions which do not apply to them. We're hoping you'll take a moment to fill in this survey too, and be as big a help in adjusting our print version as you were in improving our electronic version.

The purpose of the survey, from our point of view, is to find out what people are and aren't reading in The Slovak Spectator, as well as to collect some basic facts about them that can help our advertisers decide whether or not to give the newspaper their custom.

If you live in Slovakia but do not subscribe to The Slovak Spectator, for filling out the survey we offer you a free two-month trial subscription. If you live elsewhere than in Slovakia, we offer you a 20% discount on renewing your current subscription or on ordering a new one for filling out the form. The prizes to be won are as follows:

1st Prize: A weekend (two nights, three days) for two at one of 16 Austrian hotels, as well as a restaurant voucher for 600 Austrian shillings (about $40).

2nd Prize: A voucher for 4,000 Slovak crowns ($80), redeemable at the Eurobooks bookstore in Bratislava.

3rd Prize: A voucher for 2,000 Slovak crowns ($40), redeemable at the Eurobooks bookstore in Bratislava.

4th Prize: A voucher for 1,000 Slovak crowns ($20), redeemable at the Eurobooks bookstore in Bratislava.

Winners of the prizes will be announced in early November.

Píšem or pišám?

"Do ľava," (to the left) I yelled, "Nie, do prava" (no, to the right), I gasped. "Dolšie," I screamed. "Nie, nie, horšie..." My Slovak girlfriend collapsed in laughter. Was it something I said?
