In the Vol. 5 No. 44 issue of The Slovak Spectator, a list of telecom companies was published containing inaccurate information. The Norwegian telecom firm Telenor last month merged with the Swedish Telia, and the new joint venture will be the bidding vehicle for a 51% stake in Slovak Telecom, not Telenor alone as we reported. The combined revenues of the two companies were 10 billion euros in 1998, and they employed 55,000 people.
