The Supreme Court yesterday returned the case of Mikuláš Polóny, convicted in February of murder in the 1999 shooting deaths of two men in Bratislava’s Irish pub, to a lower court for retrial, saying it was not satisfied the defendant’s guilt had been proven beyond doubt.
