Reader Feedback: The treasure is the people

Ahoj! I served for three years (1996-99) in the eastern Slovak town of Kráľovský Chlmec as a Peace Corps volunteer.

I also have many stories like yours from several people in my town who cared for me while I was there. Even after three years I was always their special guest.

You only have to spend one evening with my "host family" in Kráľovský Chlmec, the Petreks, to get some great material for a special story of an American-Slovak-Hungarian friendship.

Bravo Chris for taking the time to let others know about your positive experiences in eastern Slovakia.

So often, we hear just the opposite from Slovakia. The real wealth of Slovakia can be found in its people.
