Valko resigns as Devín banka bankruptcy trustee

Bratislava barrister Ernest Valko has resigned his function as bankruptcy trustee on the case of the failed financial house Devín banka, blaming "interference" from state representatives. The cabinet had moved to cap the possible fee Valko could claim on the Devín bankruptcy after it was revealed he had been appointed a day before a law allowing high fees expired. Some cabinet members suggested corruption had been involved given the timing of the court decision to appoint Valko.
