University defiance hurting Slovakia

Deputy Prime Minister Pál Csáky said that continued defiance by the Konštantín Filozof University in Nitra of a government order that a Hungarian-language teaching faculty be opened there is hurting Slovakia's international reputation.

Opening of the faculty had been a key element in a deal reached by the four parties of the ruling coalition to ensure the support of the ethnic Hungarian Coalition Party for an amendment of the constitution earlier this year.
