Insurers receive liability licence

Four insurance firms on October 16 received a licence to sell obligatory automobile accident liability insurance; four others remain to have their bids evaluated by the Financial Markets Office independent regulator.

State insurer Slovenská poisťovňa has traditionally held a monopoly on motor insurance. The firm is due to be privatised early next year.
