SLSP throws up huge profit

The Slovenská sporiteľňa bank, Slovakia’s largest, reported profits of Sk2.9 billion ($60 million) after the first nine months of this year, a Sk2.2 billion rise on the same period last year; the bank expects to finish 2001 Sk1 billion in the black after allowing for the creation of reserves.
