Schuster: Mečiar has changed

President Rudolf Schuster, in an interview for the Austrian Die Presse daily paper, criticised the Slovak government for its domestic reform record, and said the results of September 2002 elections need not threaten Nato and EU integration. "Mečiar, too, has changed and become more realistic," the President said. "Instead of warning about a possible return of Mečiar, the ruling coalition should work to win elections itself."
